Designed by Cera Stribley, LOUISE evokes a sense of place, a soft billowing tower inspired by its surrounding heritage and contemporary buildings. Its biophilic design brings you a place that lives and breathes, a building that considers the wellbeing of its occupants and visitors.

LOUISE pays homage to the surrounding precinct’s unique history, where some of Melbourne’s grandest mansions once stood. Two heritage buildings are its neighbours, whilst another two still stand on Queens Lane. There is no doubt that the brick façade and art-deco style of the adjacent heritage buildings have influenced the LOUISE design.

The projecting eaves of the tower fan out above the podium, mimicking the curvaceous forms of the yacht hulls at the local Albert Park sailing club. A seam splits the tower along the primary street frontages to convey a sense of fluidity, allowing the tower to appear like floating sails. Viewlines have been maximised throughout, so occupants can enjoy breathtaking vistas of Albert Park Lake, Port Phillip Bay, and the Melbourne city skyline.

  • The architecture has a warm, honest and enduring material palette, featuring red brick and white terrazzo. Sensitive to the heritage character of the area and integrated with greenery, it is wholly connected to its natural and built environment.
  • Timeless and evocative, it is more than just a beautiful building. The biophilic design ensures that it lives and breathes. Drawing from the historic tree-lined boulevard of St Kilda Road, the lush landscape is extended from the ground up, through the podium and tower, creating a vertical garden. Flowing water features at the entrance reflect the biophilic principles, while brick pop outs along the facade provide fine-grained texture and air flow, wrapping the corner into Queens Lane.
  • Clad in red brick, the bold yet charming podium features an arched portal, framing the double height entry lobby. The use of red brick throughout the podium connects the ground floor landscape with the lobby, creating a continuous arrival experience. Airy and light-filled, there is an immediate sense of calm from the moment you step inside.

  • Art Deco charm collides with the sensibilities of 21st-century urban living, featuring a high quality and tactile material palette. Open plan apartments are drenched with natural light, with viewlines that embrace the surrounding parklands, the city and shimmering water.
  • LOUISE provides a calm, elegant canvas, to showcase your own sense of style. Flowing spaces create opportunities to engage with landscaped balconies and glorious outlooks, a spectacular backdrop for a beautiful life.
  • Designed with biophilic principles in mind, thoughtful consideration has been directed towards creating generous layouts through built-in joinery, expansive windows, and intuitive use of space.
  • There is a connection to nature, featuring timber floors, curved timber handles to cabinetry, and stone benchtops, accented by gunmetal tapware. Full-height joinery in the kitchen houses and conceals premium European appliances.
  • LOUISE offers something different from the conventional light or dark colour schemes. Inspired by sunrise and sunsets, both choices are simple and enduring, ready to complement your collection of furniture or feature artwork.
  • All apartments feature an outdoor terrace, a great spot to bask in the views, fresh air and sunshine. It will be a favourite spot in your home. Lower balconies are lined with planters to create a landscaped edge, providing a layer of privacy to podium apartments.

  • When entertaining family and friends, book the well-appointed dining room, which comes with a fully-equipped kitchen. There is also a private lounge area, a great space for more informal get-togethers. An outdoor terrace wraps around the communal areas, beautifully landscaped for your enjoyment.
  • Whether you are hosting drinks, a games night with friends or a special occasion with loved ones, the private lounge and adjacent dining room offer a beautiful, flexible venue. A great place to meet and get to know your neighbours, good times await in this thoughtfully considered communal space.
  • Exuding tranquil resort vibes, the private pool and spa offers a great place to relax and unwind. True to the building’s biophilic design philosophy, the presence of water is known to deliver better health and wellbeing by reducing stress and lowering heart rate and blood pressure. The multisensory experience of water enhances psycho-physiological wellness, improving positive emotional responsiveness, concentration, perception, and memory.
